Every British traveller flying into Cambodia has to file the Cambodia e-Arrival Card in the week before landing. Here is how UK citizens apply, what to have ready, how the time difference affects the 7-day window, and what to do with the QR code.

Within 7 days of landing in Cambodia, complete the e-Arrival form online with your British passport details, the flight that lands in Cambodia, your departure date, next destination and accommodation. Submit it, save the QR code, and show it with your passport at Immigration. You still need a Cambodian visa as well.
If you are flying from the UK to Cambodia, there are two pieces of paperwork to sort out before you go: a visa and the Cambodia e-Arrival Card. The visa is the one most British travellers already know about. The e-Arrival Card is newer. It replaced the paper immigration card, health form and customs declaration that used to be handed out on the plane, and since 2024 it has been filed online before you travel instead.
Applying for it is not difficult, but two things trip people up. The first is timing: the form only opens in the final 7 days before you arrive in Cambodia, and the time difference between the UK and Cambodia can shift that window by a day. The second is detail: every answer has to match your passport and booking exactly. This guide walks British travellers through both.
If you want the background on the card itself first, our explainer on what the Cambodia e-Arrival Card is covers what it replaced and why it exists.
Gather these before you open the form. With everything in front of you, each card takes about ten minutes. Without it, you will spend most of that time searching through booking emails.
If you would rather we did the form-filling and checking, you can start your e-Arrival application with us now and we will file it inside your window.
Cambodia is on UTC+7 all year. That puts it 7 hours ahead of the UK in winter (GMT) and 6 hours ahead during British Summer Time. Most journeys from the UK are overnight, with a connection on the way, so it is common to leave London on one day and land in Phnom Penh or Siem Reap on the next.

The 7-day window is counted from your arrival date in Cambodia, not your departure date from the UK. If you leave Heathrow on a Friday evening and land on Saturday afternoon local time, Saturday is the date that counts. In practice that rarely causes a problem as long as you do not try to file at the very first moment you think the window has opened. Filing two to four days before you fly avoids the question entirely, and by then your flights have usually stopped changing.
For a fuller explanation of the window, including what happens if you book months ahead, see our guide on when to apply for the Cambodia e-Arrival Card.
You can complete the card yourself. British travellers who use a filing service usually do so for one of two reasons: the last week before a long-haul trip is busy and the window is easy to miss, or they want someone to check every field against the passport before it reaches Immigration. Small mismatches are the kind of thing you only discover at the desk after a twelve-hour journey.
When you apply for the e-Arrival Card through us, we check each field against your passport before submitting it. If you book more than a week ahead, we hold your details and file the moment your window opens, then email you the QR code. We do not need a photo.
Prices are in US dollars and your card statement will show the sterling equivalent. Every speed includes free resubmission if Immigration flags a correction. Rush and Super Rush are there for travellers who remember the card at the airport; you will need an internet connection to receive the QR code.
The e-Arrival Card is not a visa. It records your arrival; it does not give you permission to enter. British passport holders are not visa-exempt for Cambodia, so you need a visa as well. Your passport should be valid for at least six months beyond your entry date and have a blank page.
Our guide to the Cambodia visa for UK citizens covers the options in full. In short, you can apply for the Cambodia eVisa online: Tourist $80 USD or Business $90 USD, approved in 3–5 days and delivered by email, with a 30-day stay on the tourist visa.
Sort the visa first, at least a week before you fly. The e-Arrival Card is the last thing on the list, not the first.
Your submission returns a QR code. Save it somewhere you can reach without Wi-Fi, because you will want it at the immigration desk before you have a local SIM. A screenshot on your phone plus a printed copy in your passport wallet is the combination that never fails.
For what happens at each of the three airports, see our guide to where the e-Arrival Card is checked.
Spotted a mistake after submitting? You can edit and resubmit as long as Immigration has not yet processed you. Our guide to correcting a mistake on your e-Arrival Card explains how.
