The Cambodia e-Arrival Card opens 7 days before you land and not a day earlier. Here is how the window works, the best day inside it to file, and what to do if your trip is months away or only hours away.

Apply within the 7 days before your arrival date; the system does not accept earlier submissions. The best time is 2 to 4 days before you land, when your flights are fixed and you are not rushing. If your trip is further away, a filing service can hold your details and submit the card when the window opens.
There is one timing rule for the Cambodia e-Arrival Card, and Cambodia states it plainly: you may register and submit the card within 7 days prior to your arrival. Not two weeks before, not a month before. The window opens a week out and stays open until you arrive.
That makes the e-Arrival Card the opposite of most travel admin. With flights, hotels and visas, earlier is better. With the e-Arrival Card, earlier is impossible. It is designed to be filed close to travel, when your arrival details are fixed, and it is naturally the last thing on your pre-trip list.
The window is measured from your arrival date in Cambodia, which runs on UTC+7. If you are filing from a time zone far behind Cambodia, such as the Americas, and you try at the very first moment you think the window is open, the system may still see you as a day early. The easy fix is not to race the opening: file a few days inside the window instead.
There is no reward for filing the moment the window opens. The card is the same whether you submit it on day 7 or day 2. What filing too early inside the window does do is increase the chance that something changes afterwards. Airlines re-time and renumber flights, connections get rebooked, and hotel plans shift. Each change is a reason to update the card.
Filing 2 to 4 days before arrival avoids most of that. Your flights have usually settled, the window is open whatever time zone you are in, and you are filing at home with your passport, bookings and a charger to hand, rather than at a departure gate.
If your trip is weeks or months away, you cannot file the card yet, but you can remove the risk of forgetting. The final week before a trip is when people are busiest: work handovers, packing, arranging pet care. It is exactly when a task that could not be done earlier slips through.
When you book your Cambodia e-Arrival Card with us early, we keep your details on file and submit the card automatically the moment your 7-day window opens. We check every detail against your passport first, and email you the QR code once it is filed. There is nothing to come back for and no reminder to set.

If your plans change after you book (a new flight, a different hotel, a later date), tell us before the window opens and we file with the updated details.
If you are inside the window and flying soon, you can still file. The priority is to get it done before you leave for the airport, while you have a reliable connection and time to check your details. Airport Wi-Fi, low batteries and boarding calls are where rushed cards pick up mistakes.
If you are short on time, you can apply online here, choose Rush or Super Rush, and have your QR code by email before you board.
If you still need the visa, sort that first. You can apply for the Cambodia eVisa online: Tourist $80 USD or Business $90 USD, approved in 3–5 days.

Filed the card and then your flight moved? You can edit your details and resubmit the card until you are processed by Immigration. If the change is small (a new flight number, a different hotel), update the existing card. If your whole trip has moved to new dates more than a week away, the card will need to be filed again inside the new 7-day window.
