Cambodia e-Arrival Card for French Travellers: Step-by-Step 2026 Guide

Why French travellers need the e-Arrival Card even with an approved eVisa

Many French visitors to Cambodia arrange their Tourist eVisa ($80 USD) or Business eVisa ($90 USD) several weeks before departure and assume all their border formalities are finished. Then, while checking in at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) or waiting for a connecting flight in Bangkok, Singapore, or Doha, they hear about the Cambodia e-Arrival Card (CeA).

The e-Arrival Card is not a second visa. It is Cambodia’s mandatory digital arrival declaration, which replaced the three paper forms (immigration, health, and customs) in 2024. Every air passenger arriving in Cambodia must submit one within the 7 days before landing and show the resulting QR code at the immigration counter.

Step-by-step: how French travellers complete the Cambodia e-Arrival Card

Whether you are flying into Phnom Penh’s new Techo International Airport (KTI), Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI), or Sihanoukville International Airport (KOS), the filing sequence follows five clear steps:

What if you are travelling on a flexible Indochina itinerary and have not fixed the exact date you leave Cambodia? If you file with us and have not booked onward travel yet, our form lets you say “not booked yet” and we email you to add it later.

Handling connections from Paris CDG, Lyon, and Nice—plus multi-country Asia trips

Because there are no direct non-stop flights between metropolitan France and Cambodia, every traveller from Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, or Nice connects at least once. Here is how to handle the most common French itineraries on your e-Arrival Card:

If you are visiting Cambodia twice on the same trip—for instance flying into Phnom Penh (KTI), travelling to Vietnam, and later flying back into Siem Reap (SAI)—remember that a single-entry eVisa covers only one entry, and each separate air arrival into Cambodia requires its own e-Arrival Card.
