Most German visitors land in Siem Reap to tour Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon temples, often pairing the visit with a day trip to Tonle Sap floating villages. Phnom Penh gives a deeper read of recent Cambodian history at the Royal Palace and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, while Sihanoukville and Koh Rong are the coastal escape for travellers extending their 30-day Type T stay.
