After Cambodia Visa Approval FAQ — Print, Travel & Use Your eVisa
Your Cambodia eVisa is approved — now what? Print 2 copies on A4 paper, complete the e-Arrival form, and bring both to the Cambodian border. Here are the questions travellers ask right after approval.
My Cambodia eVisa is approved — what do I do next?
Print 2 copies of your eVisa PDF on A4 paper (one for entry, one for exit), complete the Cambodia e-Arrival form within 7 days of arrival, and bring both printouts plus your passport to the airport.
Open the PDF attached to your approval email, print on A4 paper (not Letter), and make 2 copies. Black-and-white is fine but colour is preferred. Mobile screenshots are NOT accepted at Cambodian immigration.
Why do I need 2 copies of my Cambodia eVisa?
One copy is collected at entry; the second copy is required at exit. Cambodian immigration sometimes retains the entry copy, so you want a fresh exit copy. Print both before travel — hotel printing in Cambodia is not always reliable.
Can I show my Cambodia eVisa on my phone?
No. Cambodian immigration does NOT accept mobile screenshots or PDFs on a phone screen. You must present 2 printed A4 copies. This rule is strictly enforced at all entry points.
What if I lose my printed Cambodia eVisa?
Re-print from the original email PDF — your eVisa is reusable as long as you have the file. If you have lost access to the email, contact our team with your Application ID and we will resend the approved PDF.
My Cambodia eVisa email never arrived — what do I do?
Check spam, promotions, and other folders first. If still missing after 4 business days, contact our team with your Application ID or registration email and we will resend within minutes during business hours.
When does the 30-day Cambodia stay start counting?
From your arrival date in Cambodia — the day you pass through immigration counts as day 1. Departure must be on or before day 30 to avoid the $10/day overstay fine.
Can I use my Cambodia eVisa at any time within 3 months?
Yes. The 3-month validity period starts from the date of issue on your eVisa PDF. Enter Cambodia any time within that window. Stay up to 30 days from your arrival date.
Do I need to complete the e-Arrival even after my eVisa is approved?
Yes — the Cambodia e-Arrival is a separate mandatory form for every traveller, regardless of eVisa status. Complete it within 7 days before arrival. We email a reminder once your eVisa is approved.
What if I made a typo on my Cambodia eVisa application?
Contact our team immediately. Before submission to Cambodia, edits are easy. After approval, corrections may require a new application. Common typos: passport number digits, date of birth, name spelling — all critical at the border.
Can I enter Cambodia at any airport with my eVisa?
The Cambodia eVisa is accepted at the three international airports (Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville) and two land borders (Bavet, Tropaeng Kreal). Cham Yeam and Poipet are currently closed for eVisa entry.
Not for the eVisa itself — you already paid. Bring some USD cash for a tuk-tuk, SIM card, or tip at the airport. ATMs are available in the arrivals hall at all three international airports.
How long does Cambodian immigration take with an eVisa?
Typically 5-15 minutes at a regular counter, faster than the visa-on-arrival queue. Bring your printed eVisa (2 copies), passport, and e-Arrival QR code — the officer scans them, stamps your passport, and you walk through.
Will my Cambodia eVisa work for re-entry if I leave?
No. The standard Cambodia eVisa is single-entry. If you leave Cambodia (e.g. for a quick trip to Vietnam), you need a new eVisa to come back. Multiple-entry visas are embassy-issued only.
Can I get a Cambodia visa stamp in my passport instead of an eVisa printout?
The eVisa is the official entry document — Cambodian immigration stamps your passport on arrival to record the entry, but the eVisa itself remains a printed letter. The stamp records the entry; the eVisa authorises it.
