Cambodia e-Arrival Card for German Travellers: 7-Day Window & KTI/SAI Airport Rules
Every German traveller flying into Cambodia must complete the Cambodia e-Arrival Card within the 7 days before landing—even with an approved eVisa in hand. Here is how the 7-day window works on multi-leg flights from Germany, which flight number to enter, and what happens at KTI and SAI airports.
How does the Cambodia e-Arrival Card work for German travellers?
German travellers flying into Cambodia must submit the online Cambodia e-Arrival Card within the 7 days before their landing date. It replaces the old paper immigration, health, and customs forms and generates a QR code scanned at Techo International (KTI), Siem Reap Angkor (SAI), or Sihanoukville (KOS). You still need a separate Cambodian visa.
चाबी छीनना
- The Cambodia e-Arrival Card is mandatory for every German citizen arriving by air at Techo International (KTI), Siem Reap Angkor (SAI), or Sihanoukville (KOS).
- It can only be submitted within the 7 days before your Cambodian arrival date—which for overnight connections from Frankfurt or Munich means counting from your landing date in Cambodia.
- On connecting flights via Bangkok, Singapore, Doha, or Dubai, always enter the final flight number that touches down in Cambodia.
- Each traveller in a family or group files their own card under their own German Reisepass, and we do not need a photo to file for you.
What the Cambodia e-Arrival Card is—and why every German air arrival needs one
For years, flying from Germany to Phnom Penh or Siem Reap meant receiving three slips of paper from cabin crew shortly before descent: an immigration arrival card, a health declaration, and a customs form. Since 2024, Cambodia has combined all three into a single digital declaration called the Cambodia e-Arrival Card (officially the Cambodia e-Arrival, or CeA).
Every German passport holder arriving by air must complete this declaration before reaching the immigration desk, regardless of whether they already hold a Cambodia Tourist eVisa (Type T), a Business eVisa (Type E), or plan to apply for a visa on arrival. Once submitted, the declaration returns a QR code. At the airport, the immigration officer scans that QR code alongside your German Reisepass and issues your v-Pass by email instead of stamping your passport with ink.

How to count the 7-day filing window on overnight flights from Germany
The Cambodia e-Arrival Card can only be filed within the 7 days before your arrival date in Cambodia. Because almost every itinerary from Frankfurt (FRA), Munich (MUC), Düsseldorf (DUS), or Berlin (BER) involves an overnight long-haul sector plus a regional connection in Asia or the Gulf, your arrival date in Cambodia is almost always one calendar day after your departure date from Germany.
Rule of thumb for German departures: Count the 7-day window backwards from the date your connecting flight lands at KTI, SAI, or KOS in Cambodia time (ICT, UTC+7)—not the day you check in at Frankfurt or Munich.
Many German travellers combine Cambodia with a longer Southeast Asia route—for example spending a week in Bangkok, Phuket, or Hanoi before flying into Siem Reap. If that is your plan, you do not have to file your Cambodia e-Arrival Card before leaving Germany if your Cambodian flight is still two weeks away. However, keeping track of a 7-day window mid-holiday is easy to forget.
When you apply for the e-Arrival Card through our service, you can submit your details as early as you like before leaving Germany. We hold your file securely, submit it the moment your 7-day window opens, and email your ready-to-scan QR code.
अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्नों
Is the Cambodia e-Arrival Card mandatory for German citizens?
Yes. Every German traveller flying into Cambodia must complete the e-Arrival Card within the 7 days before landing and present its QR code at Immigration.
Does the Cambodia e-Arrival Card replace the Cambodia eVisa for Germans?
No. The e-Arrival Card is an arrival, health, and customs declaration, not a visa. German citizens still require a Cambodia eVisa or Visa on Arrival to enter.
Which flight number do I enter when flying from Frankfurt via Bangkok or Singapore?
Always enter the flight number of the final connecting aircraft that lands in Cambodia (at KTI, SAI, or KOS), not your first flight out of Germany.
What if I have not booked my flight out of Cambodia yet?
Do German children and infants need their own e-Arrival Card?
Yes. Each card is tied to an individual passport. We file a card for every traveller in a party, babies included, because each one travels on their own passport.
How fast can I get my Cambodia e-Arrival QR code if I am already at the airport?
Through our service (in USD per traveller), Standard takes up to 24 hours ($20), Rush takes up to 2 hours ($35), and Super Rush delivers within 15 minutes ($60).
