Where Is the Cambodia e-Arrival Card Checked? Airports and What to Show at Immigration
The Cambodia e-Arrival Card is checked on arrival at Cambodia’s three international airports. Here is where each one is, what happens at immigration, how the smart gates and the v-Pass fit in, and exactly what to have in your hand.
Where is the Cambodia e-Arrival Card checked?
It is checked on arrival at Cambodia’s three international airports: Techo International (KTI) in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap Angkor International (SAI) and Sihanoukville International (KOS). At immigration, show your passport, your e-Arrival QR code and your visa if you need one. Eligible passport holders at Techo International can use automated smart gates.

- The Cambodia e-Arrival Card is checked on arrival at Cambodia’s three international airports: Techo International (KTI), Siem Reap Angkor International (SAI) and Sihanoukville International (KOS).
- Techo International Airport replaced Phnom Penh International (PNH) as the capital’s airport in September 2025.
- At immigration, have your passport, your e-Arrival QR code and your visa, if you need one, ready together.
- Techo International has automated smart gates for holders of eligible passports, including ASEAN, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, US, Australian, French, German and UK passports.
- Arriving visitors now receive a v-Pass by email, which replaces the ink stamp in the passport.
The e-Arrival Card is checked when you land
You file the Cambodia e-Arrival Card before you travel, but it does its job when you arrive. At immigration, your QR code is scanned to pull up the declaration you submitted, and it is read alongside your passport and, if you need one, your visa. It is the digital replacement for the arrival card, health form and customs slip that used to be handed in on paper.
The official e-Arrival system lists three checkpoints, all of them international airports. This guide covers each one, what the arrivals process looks like, and what you should have in your hand when you reach the front of the queue.
The three airports that check the e-Arrival Card
Flying into Phnom Penh? Your ticket will show KTI, not PNH. Techo International replaced the old Phnom Penh International Airport in September 2025, so older guides and booking screenshots that mention PNH are out of date.
What happens at immigration
- Follow signs to arrivals immigration
If you need a visa on arrival, go to the visa desk first. If you already have an eVisa or are visa-exempt, go straight to immigration.
- Have your documents ready together
Passport, e-Arrival QR code and visa (if you need one), in hand before you reach the front of the queue.
- Show your passport and QR code
The officer scans your QR code, checks it against your passport and checks your visa.
- Collect your bags and go
Because customs details were included in your e-Arrival Card, there is no separate customs form to hand in.
The whole point of the e-Arrival Card is that the officer is confirming details you have already submitted rather than taking them down by hand. When the card matches the passport, the check is quick. When it does not, it is where delays start.
