Select the airport your final flight into Cambodia actually lands at — that is the only correct answer, because the field is cross-checked against the airline manifest. For US travelers that is one of three airports: Techo International (KTI) near Phnom Penh, Siem Reap-Angkor (SAI) for Angkor Wat trips, or Sihanouk (KOS) for the coast. The real decision happens when you book your flight, not when you fill the card. If your itinerary starts in the capital or covers a wide loop, you fly into KTI; if Angkor Wat is your first stop, fly into SAI and select it. Techo International (KTI) replaced the old Phnom Penh airport in September 2025, so check the code on your ticket and pick the matching port of entry on the card.
The Cambodia e-Arrival Card asks you to pick a port of entry, and the word "pick" makes it sound like a choice you make on the form. It is not. The port of entry is whichever airport your final flight into Cambodia lands at, and the e-Arrival system cross-checks that selection against the airline manifest. So the genuine decision was made earlier, when you booked the flight — the card just records it. Get the two to match and you sail through the kiosk; pick the wrong airport on the card and you have manufactured a mismatch out of nothing.
Where the real choice lives is at the booking stage, and that is worth thinking through, because the airport you fly into shapes the first day of your trip. US travelers reach Cambodia through one of three airports, and two of them carry the bulk of American arrivals: Techo International (KTI) near Phnom Penh and Siem Reap-Angkor (SAI), the gateway to the temples. This guide covers how to choose between them when you book, and then how to make the card reflect that choice cleanly so it matches your boarding pass.
If you are still mapping out the trip, our rundown of the Cambodia eVisa eligible entry points for US citizens lists every airport the eVisa is valid at, so you can confirm your routing is covered before you book. And once your flight is locked, the field-by-field walkthrough of how US citizens fill out the e-Arrival Card shows exactly where the port-of-entry selection sits on the form.
In 2026 there are three international airports where US travelers can land in Cambodia and where the eVisa is valid as a port of entry. You will see all three on the e-Arrival Card list. Knowing what each one is for makes both the booking decision and the card selection obvious.
Whichever one your final flight lands at is the one you select on the card. There is no scenario where you fly into Siem Reap but enter Phnom Penh on the form, or vice versa — the manifest tells Immigration where you actually arrived, and the card has to agree. The choice that matters is which airport you route your booking through, and that comes down to where your trip begins.

For most US travelers the real fork is KTI versus SAI, and the deciding question is simple: what is the first thing you want to do in Cambodia? Answer that and the airport picks itself.
Your trip starts in Phnom Penh, you are traveling for business, or you are running a wide loop that takes in the capital, the coast, and the temples in some order. KTI is the largest of the three, carries the most international connections, and is where the bulk of one-stop routings out of the United States funnel through. If you are unsure where your itinerary will settle and you just want the airport with the most options around it, KTI is the safe default. It is also the airport most likely to already be on your ticket if your flight was booked through a major US carrier or its alliance partners.
Angkor Wat is the reason for the trip, or at least the first stop on it. Landing at SAI drops you a short ride from Siem Reap town and the temple complex, which saves you a domestic flight or a long road transfer from the capital. Plenty of Americans build the classic itinerary the other way — temples first, capital and coast after — and for that shape SAI is the better entry point. You can always end the trip out of KTI; the e-Arrival Card only cares about where you land, not where you leave.
Whichever airport you settle on, the e-Arrival Card selection follows the flight, and the flight number on the card has to be the final leg that lands in Cambodia — not your US departure. If you want the whole arrival sequence at the busiest gateway laid out gate by gate, our Techo International (KTI) arrival walkthrough for US citizens covers what the terminal is actually like once you step off the plane.

This is the single detail most likely to trip up an American who booked early. On 9 September 2025, Techo International (KTI) opened and took over all international traffic from the old Phnom Penh airport. The old airport code is retired for these arrivals. If you booked your trip before September 2025, or you are working from an older guidebook or a friend's advice from a previous visit, you may still have the old code in your head — and that is the code you should not enter on the card.
The fix is to read your actual ticket. Pull up your flight confirmation for the final leg into Cambodia and look at the arrival airport. If it lands in the Phnom Penh area, it is Techo International (KTI), and KTI is what you select on the e-Arrival Card. Reputable airlines updated their systems for the switch, so a current booking will already show the new airport — but a stale screenshot, an old itinerary forwarded from a travel agent, or memory from a 2024 trip can all point at the wrong place.
Match three things and you cannot go wrong: the airport on your ticket, the port of entry you select on the e-Arrival Card, and the QR code the system hands back after you submit. When the officer scans that code at the kiosk, it should resolve to the airport you are physically standing in. Our guide to the e-Arrival QR scan at KTI Immigration for US citizens walks through what that scan looks like at the Techo counter and what the officer is actually checking.

One option you will not be using: an overland crossing. All seven Thailand-Cambodia land borders have been closed since June 2025, so essentially every American reaches Cambodia by air. That simplifies the port-of-entry field considerably — it is always one of the three airports, never a road or river crossing. If you had pictured flying into Bangkok and busing across to Siem Reap, that route is off the table for now, and your port of entry will be whichever Cambodian airport your final flight lands at.
With the airport settled, making the card match your ticket is mechanical. Open your flight confirmation for the final leg into Cambodia. Read the arrival airport — KTI, SAI, or KOS. Select that exact airport from the port-of-entry list on the card. Then check that the flight number on the card is the same final leg, because Immigration cross-references the airport and the flight together. Americans almost always connect through Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, or Doha, so the leg that matters is the short final hop into Cambodia, and the airport on the card should be where that hop lands.
A 20-second sanity check before you submit: does the port of entry on the card name the same airport printed on your final-leg ticket? Does the flight number on the card belong to that same leg? If both answers are yes, the port-of-entry section is clean and there is nothing here for the kiosk to flag. If your ticket shows one airport and you selected another, fix it now — that is a mismatch you created on the form, and it is the easiest one in the whole card to avoid.
If you are weighing routings into Cambodia and want the full map of which airports the eVisa actually covers, the eligible-entry-points breakdown linked above lays out every valid port so you can confirm your booking lands somewhere the visa is honored before you commit.

When you file a verified e-Arrival Card through us for $20 USD, it is checked end-to-end before it reaches Cambodian Immigration — the port of entry against your final-leg ticket, the flight number against the manifest, and the date format that catches so many Americans. If a field is off, we catch it before it becomes a kiosk problem, and if Immigration flags a correction there is no extra charge to fix it.
