Your Cambodia e-Arrival Card is, in practice, a QR code. Here is how you receive it, the storage habits that never fail at immigration, how to show it, and what to do if it goes missing before you land.

The QR code appears as soon as your e-Arrival Card is submitted. Screenshot or download it before closing the page, and print a copy if you can; the official app also keeps it available offline. If a service files for you, it is emailed to you. Show it with your passport at immigration.
For all the questions on the Cambodia e-Arrival Card, what you actually carry to the airport is a single QR code. When Immigration scans it, your submitted details appear on the officer’s screen, and the officer checks them against your passport. The code is the link between what you filed at home and the person standing at the desk.
That makes the QR code the one part of the process you cannot afford to lose track of. The good news is that keeping it safe takes about thirty seconds, as long as you do it at the right moment.
Cambodia accepts a screenshot, a downloaded image or a printed copy. The safest approach is to have more than one, so that a flat battery or a lost phone does not leave you without it.
Have the code open, or the printout in hand, before you reach the front of the queue, together with your passport and your visa if you need one. Turn your screen brightness up, since scanners read a bright, flat screen more easily, and hold the phone steady rather than tilted.
If the scanner struggles with your phone, offer the printed copy. Having both is what turns a scanning hiccup into a two-second fix rather than a search through your photo library.
Losing the code before you travel is fixable. Where you get it back from depends on how you filed.
If you realise you do not have your code only after landing, go to immigration with your passport and explain. It is a much better position to be in than trying to refile over airport Wi-Fi, but a far worse one than having saved it properly before you left.
It is tempting to delete the code once you are through immigration. Hold on to it. Cambodia now issues arriving visitors a v-Pass by email in place of the ink passport stamp, and the v-Pass can be retrieved by uploading your e-Arrival QR code as well as by entering your passport information. Keep the code until you have left Cambodia.
Remember, too, that the code belongs to one arrival. If you leave Cambodia and fly back in later, you will need a new e-Arrival Card, and a new QR code, for the new arrival.
