Yes. If you are a British traveller flying into Cambodia, you need the Cambodia e-Arrival Card, even if you already have your visa. Here is the short answer in full, who it applies to, and the few situations where it gets less clear-cut.

Yes. Every British traveller flying into Cambodia must file the Cambodia e-Arrival Card online within the 7 days before landing, even with a visa already approved. It replaced the paper immigration, health and customs forms. Each traveller, children included, files their own card and shows its QR code at Immigration.
If you are flying from the UK, or from anywhere else on a British passport, into Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Sihanoukville, you need the Cambodia e-Arrival Card. There is no exemption for British nationals, for travellers who already hold a visa, or for short trips.
The card is Cambodia’s online arrival declaration. Since 2024 it has replaced the paper immigration card, health form and customs declaration that used to be handed out on the plane. You fill it in online in the week before you land, you get a QR code, and Immigration scans that code when you arrive.
This is the point that confuses most British travellers. You apply for a Cambodian eVisa, it is approved, and it seems reasonable to assume you are done. You are not. The visa and the e-Arrival Card are separate documents that do separate jobs.
If you have not sorted the visa yet, start there. Our guide to the Cambodia visa for UK citizens explains the options, and you can apply for the Cambodia eVisa online: Tourist $80 USD or Business $90 USD, approved in 3–5 days.
Everyone. The card is tied to a passport, not to a booking, so the simple rule is to count the passports. A couple needs two cards. A family of four needs four. There is no joint or family card.
That includes children. Cambodia does not publish a separate rule for infants, and we file a card for every traveller in a party, babies included, because each one travels on their own passport.
Travelling with children? Our guide for British families covers how to file a card for each child without mixing up whose details go where.

The e-Arrival Card was built around Cambodia’s international airports. The official system lists three: Techo International (KTI) in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap Angkor International (SAI) and Sihanoukville International (KOS). It does not list land border posts or sea ports.
Travellers crossing overland have reported filling in paper arrival forms at the border instead. Cambodia publishes much less about land and sea arrivals, so if you are coming in that way, confirm the current process for your crossing before you set off. Note that the Thailand–Cambodia land border has been closed since 2025, so British travellers who used to cross from Bangkok by road cannot currently enter that way.
Our guide to the e-Arrival Card at land and sea borders sets out what is known and what is not.
It happens more often than you would think. The visa gets sorted weeks ahead, the packing takes over, and the e-Arrival Card is only remembered in the queue for security at Heathrow or in a lounge in Doha. If that is you, you can still file it, as long as you are within 7 days of landing and have an internet connection. Submitting needs a connection; once you have the QR code, you can show it offline.
Cambodia has not published what happens to a traveller who arrives without a card, and it is not something worth finding out at the end of a long-haul journey. Filing before you board is the only plan we would recommend. If time is short, our Rush and Super Rush speeds exist for exactly this situation.
Once you are inside the 7-day window, filing the card takes about ten minutes per traveller. You need your passport, the flight that lands in Cambodia, your arrival airport, your departure date and next destination, and the name and city of where you are staying. Save the QR code offline when you have submitted it.
If you file with us and have not booked onward travel yet, our form lets you say “not booked yet” and we email you to add it later.
You can get your e-Arrival Card through us at any point before your trip. We check every field against your passport, file it inside your window, and email you the QR code. Prices are per traveller in USD: $20 Standard (24 hours), $35 Rush (2 hours) or $60 Super Rush (15 minutes). We do not need a photo.
