Step 3 — eVisa-holder lane (right side, 5–15 min queue)

Once your e-Arrival is scanned, walk through the hall and join the eVisa-holder lane on the right. The hall has three lane types: Cambodian nationals on the far left, eVisa and prior-visa holders in the centre-right, and visa-on-arrival in the far-right booth. Push through the Customs doors and you are in the arrivals hall. This is the moment your trip really starts. The hall at KTI is generous, well-lit and laid out so the four things you need in your first hour are within a 30-metre radius of the exit doors.

• SIM card stall — Smart, Cellcard and Metfone all run kiosks in the arrivals hall. A tourist SIM with 30 days of data runs $5–10 USD (~$7.50–15 AUD). • Grab pickup zone — Signposted as you exit arrivals and across a short walk into the car park. A few dollars cheaper than the rank ($20–26 USD / ~$30–40 AUD), and the wait is usually under five minutes if you order while still in the arrivals hall.
