Yes. Australian passport holders qualify for the Laos VoA at Veun Kham — $35 USD cash (~$53 AUD), 30-day single-entry stay, processed on the spot. You need a passport with 6 months validity, one passport-sized photo, and a completed paper form available at the booth. Bring USD in small clean notes — the booth refuses anything torn, marked, or older than 2013. The Laos VoA at this land crossing is reliable and well-stocked, unlike the Cambodia VoA at Tropaeng Kreal going the other way.
Do I need a Cambodia eVisa or can I do VoA leaving overland?
You need a Cambodia eVisa or VoA to enter Cambodia, not to leave. If you flew into Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, or Sihanoukville to start this trip, you would already have your Cambodia visa in your passport.
