Cambodia v-Pass Explained: No More Passport Stamp for US Travelers

A clean passport page does not mean you entered illegally

One practical note for dates: your 30-day single-entry stay still runs from your day of entry, exactly as it did under the stamp. The digital record simply logs that entry date precisely instead of relying on legible ink. Because the tourist auto-extension ended in November 2025, that 30-day window is firm — count it from the date in your record and plan your departure inside it, with no automatic grace period at the back end.

How to prove your entry when there is no stamp

Hang on to your inbound boarding pass and any v-Pass or arrival confirmation the system shows or emails you. Together with your eVisa and e-Arrival, these establish both that you flew in and the date you entered — the two facts a stamp used to carry on its own. For a two-week trip, keep the lot until you are home and through any future re-entry; storage is free and a clean record is worth far more than the few megabytes it costs.

A common worry is the future visit: if there is no stamp, how does Cambodia know I left last time and did not overstay? The same way it knows you arrived — digitally. Your exit is logged against your passport number and matched to your entry record. When you return on the same passport, the system already holds your history. A clean page does not reset anything; the record persists in the database regardless of what your passport looks like.
