Made a Mistake on Your Cambodia e-Arrival Card? How to Correct It
Spotted a typo on your Cambodia e-Arrival Card after submitting it? You can correct it. Cambodia lets you edit and resubmit until Immigration processes you. Here is how to decide between editing, refiling and asking for help, and how long you have.
Can I correct a mistake on my Cambodia e-Arrival Card?
Yes. Cambodia lets you edit your e-Arrival Card and resubmit it as long as you have not been processed by Immigration. Edit the card for a small error; file a new one if it is on the wrong passport or for the wrong trip. Do it before you fly, then save the QR code again.
要点总结
- You can correct a Cambodia e-Arrival Card after submitting it: Cambodia allows you to edit and resubmit until you have been processed by an immigration officer.
- For one or two wrong fields, edit the existing card; for a card on the wrong passport, the wrong traveller or a completely different trip, file a new one.
- The real deadline is the immigration desk, but the practical deadline is before you fly, while you have time, a charger and a reliable connection.
- After any correction, save the QR code again and replace your old copy, so you cannot show an outdated version on arrival.
- If someone filed the card for you, ask them to correct it rather than editing it yourself, so there is only one version on record.
Yes, you can correct it
It is one of the most common messages any e-Arrival filing team receives: “I think I got something wrong on my card.” A middle name left off, a passport number with two digits swapped, a flight that changed after filing. If that is you, the first thing to know is that the Cambodia e-Arrival Card is designed to be corrected. Cambodia’s own guidance is that you may edit your information and resubmit the card as long as you have not yet been processed by an immigration officer.
So the question is not whether you can fix it. It is how, and by when. This guide covers the three routes (edit, refile, or ask whoever filed it to correct it) and the timing that makes each one straightforward.
If you are not sure how much your mistake matters, our guide on what happens if you enter wrong details on the e-Arrival Card explains which errors Immigration notices most.
Edit the card or file a new one?
The right route depends on how much of the card is wrong. A good rule: if the card still describes the right person, on the right passport, for the right trip, edit it. If any of those three is wrong, start again.
Moved your trip by more than a week? A new card has to be submitted within 7 days of the new arrival date. If the new date is still more than a week away, you will have to wait for the window to open again before filing.
How to edit and resubmit your e-Arrival Card
Not confident editing it yourself, or short of time before your flight? You can apply online here and we will file a corrected card, checked against your passport, and email you the QR code.
If someone else filed your card
If a travel agent, a tour operator, a family member or a filing service submitted your card, go back to them rather than editing it yourself. The reason is simple: you want one correct version of your card on record, and the person who filed it knows exactly what was submitted and how to reach it.
常见问题解答
Can I change my Cambodia e-Arrival Card after submitting it?
Yes. Cambodia allows you to edit your information and resubmit the card as long as you have not been processed by an immigration officer.
Should I edit my e-Arrival Card or submit a new one?
Edit it if the card is for the right person, passport and trip. Submit a new one if it is on an old passport, for the wrong traveller, or for completely different dates.
What is the deadline to correct my e-Arrival Card?
Officially, until Immigration processes you on arrival. In practice, aim to correct it before you leave for the airport, while you have time and a reliable connection.
What should I do with the QR code after correcting my card?
Save the QR code the resubmitted card gives you, and delete the old one, so there is no chance of showing the wrong version at the airport.
My flight changed after I filed. Do I need to update the card?
Yes. Update the flight number and arrival details so the card matches how you actually arrive. If the new date is more than a week away, wait until you are inside the new 7-day window.
Someone else filed my card. Can I edit it myself?
It is better to ask whoever filed it to make the correction, so there is only one correct version of your card on record.
What if I only notice the mistake at the immigration desk?
Tell the officer straight away and show your passport. Being upfront about an honest error is always better than hoping it goes unnoticed.
